Who Can Get a Free Check?
The NHS Hypertension Case-Finding Service is available if you meet the following criteria.
Aged 40 or Over
All adults aged 40 and above are eligible for a free NHS blood pressure check at the pharmacy. No registration required.
No Appointment Needed
Simply walk into the pharmacy during opening hours. The check takes around 5 minutes and results are available immediately.
Completely Free
This is an NHS-funded service at no cost to you. No GP referral needed — just walk in and ask our pharmacist for a check.
During Your Check
1. Quick Assessment
Our pharmacist will ask a few simple questions about your health history and lifestyle.
2. Blood Pressure Reading
A cuff is placed on your upper arm and inflated. The reading is taken automatically — it is quick and painless.
3. Results & Advice
You receive your results immediately. If your reading is high, we may offer ambulatory monitoring or refer you to your GP.
