Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. It causes high fever, severe headache, muscle and joint pain, and can occasionally develop into severe dengue which is life-threatening.

The Qdenga (TAK-003) dengue vaccine provides protection against all four dengue virus serotypes. It is recommended for travellers to high-risk dengue areas.

Dosing Schedule
2 doses given 3 months apart. Ideally complete course before travel. Protection begins after the second dose.
Prevention Tips
Use DEET-based insect repellent. Wear long sleeves/trousers during day. Use air-conditioned/screened accommodation. Remove standing water near accommodation.
